Fashion Week presents the “Popular Trends” in daily life

Must read

At the 2024FW runway, there was a plethora of “layering.” What’s new about layering this year is a unique old characteristic — it’s primarily for aesthetics but without sacrificing wearability. In other words, layering itself is evolving; it still emphasizes decorative effects but doesn’t feel disconnected from reality.

Shirt + Shirt
This season, dresses on the runway have notably adopted wider skirts. The simplest change is that the previously popular fitted H-shape has been replaced by loose A-line silhouettes. While this silhouette pairs well with fitted tops, pairing it with oversized shirts can make one look saggy.

Layering with Denim Shirts
CHANEL also indulged in layering, initially resembling familiar denim shirt layering. However, upon closer inspection, it’s interesting to note that the outer layer has a glossy leather finish.

Layering in Various Styles
Wearing it loosely, tying it up, draping it over… Does it remind you of those mornings when you neatly put on a two-piece outfit, only to find yourself taking it off at noon because it’s too hot, then putting it back on because you’re too cold and don’t want to carry it around? Doesn’t that seem quite relatable to everyday life?

Skirt-Pants Pairing
The greater the difference in length between the skirt and pants, and the greater the difference in color, the harder it is to pull off.
